Larsen & Toubro (L&T), one of India’s most prominent construction and engineering firms, has secured two important government contracts, further reinforcing its leadership in the infrastructure sector.
The first is a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract awarded by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for the development of Common Central Secretariat buildings 6 & 7 in New Delhi. The project includes two buildings with one basement, two podiums, an upper ground floor, and six additional floors. L&T’s scope covers everything—from civil structure to electrical, plumbing, and maintenance services for five years.
The second order comes from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which has entrusted L&T’s Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical with the design and construction of the new State Legislative Assembly. This structure will consist of one basement, a ground level, and three floors, further contributing to Andhra’s modern governance infrastructure.
Both projects are slated for completion within 18 months.
These orders follow a strong run for L&T. Just last month, the company completed a breakthrough in what’s being called India’s longest railway tunnel using a massive tunnel boring machine named “Shakti.” Earlier this year, it also secured its largest private residential project from the Brigade Group.
L&T continues to expand its presence across public and private sector projects—delivering large-scale infrastructure that supports India’s urban and institutional growth.
